What makes someone a productivity superhero?

Over the past couple of years, I have written a series of articles about individuals I like to call “productivity superheroes.” These people have mastered the art of being organized.

In this video, Dr. Melissa Gratias discusses the main characteristics that make someone a productivity superhero.

Hi, this is Dr. Melissa Gratias, and for the past couple of years I have written a series of articles on my blog called productivity superheroes.

It was a piece of inspiration I had when I kept meeting people in my community, past clients and otherwise, that really had it together. They had gotten somewhere either with my help or on their own.

These eight people were able to be more effective, organized, and productive.

I wrote their stories. I did interviews, and I hope that you will take some time to read about these productivity superheroes.

When I think about this group of people as a whole there are three primary characteristics of a productivity superhero:

Number one – They have a sense of purpose

All of the folks I’ve interviewed have a very clear purpose for their life and for their work. They can tell you, “This is what I’m here to do. This is what I strive to do.” They have a purpose.

Number two – They use systems

They realize their brain is insufficient to hold all the knowledge they need. They have systems to manage their time, to manage their tasks, and to manage their information. They recognize that it can’t just all be a mental process. They have productivity systems to get it all done.

Number three – They have breathing room

They have a sense of mental space. In their time, in their tests, they have they have a sense of peace. They have breathing room to get things done, to move, to work, and to live.

When you put these three things together, it’s beautiful, and that’s the goal. That’s what motivated me to get into this business in the first place. So I would have these things. I wanted the breathing room and purpose and to help others achieve the same.

I help overworked and overwhelmed people become productivity superheroes. It can happen. You are not stuck where you are right now.

If you want to learn more, please contact me. If it’s not me that can help you, then we’ll find the right resource to help you become a productivity superhero.

There’s a contact form on my website. We can schedule a no-cost-to-you initial assessment. I will ask you some questions, you will ask me some questions, and together we’ll come to a decision about whether productivity coaching is right for you. Whether it would help you achieve your goals and get you where you want to be or not.

Being a productivity superhero, it’s not that you are busy and are nose-to-the-grindstone every minute of every day, it’s about knowing your purpose, maximizing your systems, and enjoying the breathing room that is created. I can help you get there.

Interruptions can kill productivity. With one “Got a minute?” from a coworker or one stray thought swirling in your brain, the flow of your work can be completely disrupted.

The trouble is that few people have concrete strategies to get back on task quickly after an interruption. Some people completely lose focus…for hours! If you have tried reducing interruptions, but they still impact your ability to be effective at work, this free webinar is for you.
