Dr. Melissa’s Blog
Welcome to My Blog!
Since 2009, I have been writing articles about office organization, time management, work/life balance, email management, and productivity. I am passionate about helping people better manage the hours they choose to spend working and enjoy their non-work time as well.
I also believe in authenticity in my writing. One of my readers describes my blog as a place where I offer my head, my hands, and my heart to others. You will find posts about my struggles with perfectionism interspersed with humorous stories about my family and how we cope with life. This is a place where I choose to be brave and vulnerable with you.
My blog posts are broken down into three major areas:
- Productivity & Time Management
- Goals & Planning
- Life Balance & Self Care

Interruptions can kill productivity. With one “Got a minute?” from a coworker or one stray thought swirling in your brain, the flow of your work can be completely disrupted.
The trouble is that few people have concrete strategies to get back on task quickly after an interruption. Some people completely lose focus…for hours! If you have tried reducing interruptions, but they still impact your ability to be effective at work, this free webinar is for you.
